A key way to support the PAC is through your organization's sponsorship. In order to reach our $100,000 fundraising goal we ask everyone to please do more this year. In addition to supporting the long-term health of our real estate investments, sponsorship gains exposure for your brand with other top leaders of the multifamily industry.

March of 2026 is the primary where Cook County Assessor Fritz Kaegi and Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle will seek re-election. This is followed by a November general election where all 120 Illinois House Democrats, Governor JB Pritzker, and many State Senate seats will be up for grabs. Next February will have the biggest prize on the table as Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson and all 50 aldermanic seats will go to the polls. It is critical to have a well funded PAC for each of these key elections.
The money the PAC raises goes directly to the candidates and our electioneering efforts in support of PAC approved candidates. The PAC interviews and vets these candidates to find those who have pro-real estate, pro-business, low-tax, low-regulation positions. The PAC opposes all candidates who support government interventions in the real estate market like Rent Control, Just Cause Eviction, or Tenant Right of First Refusal.
- Defeated the elimination or capping of move in fees- Defeated Bring Chicago Home transfer tax increase
- Defeated Just Cause in Evanston- Stopped Assessor Kaegi from re-classifying small Class 3-18 mixed use buildings to being commercial properties
- Helped elect independent CPS School Board members who were not affiliated with the teachers union- Reduced the footprint of the Northwest Side Building Ordinance which provides all tenants in the zone with a right of first refusal
- Kept the statewide Rent Control Ban in place despite annual attempts to repeal it

“The next twelve months represent our best opportunity to change politics in our City and State. Action today will have repercussions over the next four years. Please support our PAC as generously as you can. This next set of elections could be our last best chance to get our City and our economy back on track.”
